The B-1 Lancer is a supersonic variable-sweep wing heavy long-range strategic bomber used by the United States Air Force since the end of the Cold War.  Developed by North American Aviation (later merged with Rockwell International and then acquired by Boeing) in the 1970s, it first flew in 1974 and entered service in 1985. This model features: retractable landing gear, movable flaps on the main wing box and tail, openable cargo bay doors, upper and lower ramp doors, a smooth exterior, movable speed brakes including the support struts, and retractable wings.
